New Hunter Education Students
Beginning January 1st of 2013, everyone taking a hunter education class in Tennessee must register for the class online.
Go to the TWRA website at TNWildlife.org and look under the hunter education section. You will then be given options to search for a class near you. Complete the registration before the class begins in order to ensure a seat in that class. If you do not have computer access, try the local library or call your regional office for further assistance.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and volunteer instructors will offer the Hunter Safety Class July 22-25, 2014 at the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building.
The class will meet from 6pm until 9pm each evening. Participants in the class must be at least nine years of age on the day of class in order to be certified.
Students are required to attend each class session in order to receive certification.
There will also be an online class field day offered at the Unity Baptist Church on Brace Road on August 2, 2014 from 8am till 1pm. Students must register for the field day online and bring proof of completion of the online class.
All hunters born on or after January, 1969 are required to have taken and passed an approved hunter safety class before hunting any species of game in Tennessee. The hunter is required by law to carry proof of completion of the hunter safety class on his/her person while hunting.
Hunters who have previously taken the class but have lost their card may get a new card by going to any license agent and requesting a replacement card which will be issued for a small fee.
